About Brother John

My name is Dudley Ormston Zinke. When I was born again by the grace of Jesus Christ, God gave me the spiritual name, John, and I am known among the brethren as Brother John. My formal name is AM Brother John.

At nineteen years of age, in late July 1971, I heard the gospel of Christ preached by a man of God. I believed, repented of my sins, confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and committed my life to following the Holy Bible. A few days later, I was baptized in a creek. In those waters, I was born again and saved. Immediately afterward, as the man of God prayed over me, I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

That day, I emerged a changed man. For three days, the tangible power of the Holy Spirit surrounded me in a visible radiance extending roughly eight feet. While still in the water, my hands and feet glowed with a soft, moonlight-like brilliance. As I walked back to the shore, I felt a profound oneness with God’s creation.

In that moment, the Lord spoke to me and called me John. The man of God then prophesied, “God has put His words in you, and they must be spoken.”

I left college to follow this calling and I was taught by that man of God, For years I traveled and learned under anointed leaders and holy prophets of God, serving as a witness for Christ. Along the way, I worked various jobs to support myself while continuing in ministry. In 1977, the Lord sent three of us as a small church body to St. Louis, Missouri, where I have served ever since. We were soon invited to speak on a local radio program and eventually hosted our own gospel broadcast on WGNU for more than twenty years.

For nearly fifty years, I have been writing spiritual poems and teachings. For the past fifteen years especially, the Lord has given me a steady flow of inspired writings in the style of Psalms and Proverbs. These are a gift of His grace—born from decades of walking with Him, observing life, and receiving insight and wisdom through both trials and blessings. My deepest desire is that these writings would bless, teach, encourage, and draw people closer to the heart of God, whether they are believers or still seeking.

At the core of everything I write is this truth: Almighty God created every one of us—male and female—as His children. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, our first parents in the Garden of Eden. Regardless of our different backgrounds, we belong to the same human family that our Heavenly Father deeply loves.

Through many seasons and assignments, God has placed me in diverse environments and among all kinds of people, giving me a wide range of experiences that continue to shape and enrich the message He has entrusted to me.

It is my sincere prayer that this website and its resources will be a blessing to you. May the Lord open your eyes to His beautiful truth and reveal His great love for you through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Messiah and Savior.
